Heat Shrink Tubing Application:
In general, adhesive heat shrink tubing is recommended for all connectors. A piece of adhesive shrink tubing should be shrunk down over the connector/cable interface to guard against moisture infiltration and to help relieve strain on the cable connection (see diagram below). Depending on the type of cable being used, select the proper heat shrink tubing from the chart.

Straight Connectors
CTS, CNS, CBS, CSS, and CCS Series: Shrink the adhesive tubing over the connector body (see diagram below). The tubing should not interfere with the turning of the coupling nut.
