High Ratio Tubing Instructional Here

Heavy Wall, Splice Tubing

Our product gives the optimum mechanical protection when used as a jacket or splice cover. Its high abrasion resistant formulation combined with an extra heavy wall thickness eliminates many problems associated with today's jacked cable.

  Heat Shrink Tubing Application:

In general, adhesive heat shrink tubing is recommended for all connectors. A piece of adhesive shrink   tubing should be shrunk down over the connector/cable interface to guard against moisture infiltration and to help relieve strain on the cable connection (see diagram below). Depending on the type of cable being used, select the proper heat shrink tubing from the chart.

No longer is it necessary to de-pin and remove the connector and backshell from a cable to repair a torn jacket or replace a faulty shrink boot. Our High Ratio tubing, with expansion ratios of 6:1, will slip right over the connector and backshell and it will shrink down onto the cable in the area where the repair is needed.

Advantages

Incredible Expansion ratio of 6:1
